Tropical Storm Julio was located well north of the islands near
31N 159W at 09 UTC and continues to track slowly away from the
state. Disrupted island trades are rebounding to moderate levels
as high pressure settles to the north and northeast of the islands
in the wake of Julio. A favored guidance composite favors a
pattern with limited windward showers into next week. Meanwhile,
guidance remains wildly varied but satellite imagery shows an
active ITCZ upstream of Hawaii with the National Hurricane Center
and the Central Pacific Hurricane Center monitoring possible
developments.
