After Guillermo passes to the north of Hawai'i late Friday, weak
trades are indicated through the weekend. Another tropical cyclone
will likely approach from the southeast Monday or Tuesday, though
its intensity and track as they pertain to the state proper are
highly uncertain. Five-day QPF post-Guillermo, ending 00Z/14
Friday, is generally a tenth- to a quarter-inch, with the usual
higher amounts in the favored terrain--particularly around Mauna
Loa. The direct threat of the 06Z/06 GFS for the Big Island would
up the rainfall ante considerably.
