The models continue to send Jimena meandering westward to the
north of the main Hawai'ian islands the next two days, grazing
Kaua'i and O'ahu with the fringes of its deep-layer moisture
swirl. After Jimena, the trades should introduce small
disturbances and patchy moisture across the state, before hitting
a wall of a deep trough closer to the Date Line. As usual,
predictability of the diminutive wiggles will be low. Five-day QPF
through 00Z/14 Monday is generally a half- to one inch, with
several inches possible closer to the track of Jimena and around
Mauna Loa.
