The 27/00Z model guidance displayed above average agreement and
excellent continuity across the Pacific basin.

And the 7-day forecasts for Hawai'i appeared to be in good order.

On Friday---surface high pressure builds in from the west and
north --- with a resumption of regular tradewinds through the end
of next weekend.

Reasonable to use a blend of the 27/00Z deterministic GFS/ECMWF
through day 5 --- then taper to a blend the two means (GEFS/ECENS)
for day 6-7 to handle the subtle shortwaves differences over the
north central Pacific and smooth out the surface ridge
configuration across the Subtropics.
