The 7/00Z deterministic GFS and ECMWF were very good pieces of
forecast guidance through day 4 (12/00Z)---and actually appeared
to handle the complex pattern in the northern Pacific basin
through day 6 (14/00Z)

Looks like Hawai'i finally returns to a 'normal' or seasonal
weather pattern after "Ivette" weakens and its remnant low-level
circulation passes south of the Big Island in the
Wednesday-Thursday time frame. This 'normal' pattern would include
a fresh northeast trade breeze and scattered clouds. And for a
change ---- a rather 'quiet' pattern in the southeast tropical
Pacific.
