Models and ensembles reasonably agree that high pressure built
north of the islands will continue to support moderate to locally
brisk trades into next week in a windward terrain focusing
rainfall pattern. Rainfall potential increases mid-late next week
with potential return of deeper tropical moisture associated with
the forecast approach of Tropical Storm Madeline that is being
monitored by the National Hurricane Center. The Central Pacific
Hurricane Center will take over responsibility for Madeline later
today.
