Models and ensembles reasonably agree in showing an emerging
pattern for Hawaii with decreasing moisture, increased stability,
and moderate trades. This would only favor limited windward
terrain showers into early next week until tropical disturbance
passage to the south of the islands could act to provide locally
brisk trades and a return of deeper moisture into the southern
islands. This occurs as pressure gradients further tighten over
the islands as high pressure becomes re-established to the north
of the state in the wake of mid-latitude low passage. This passage
should also force some lead shearline showers into the state from
the north next week to focus showers.
