Ensembles still indicate upper ridging to strengthen to the
northwest of Hawai'i later this week, meandering around 30N/170W
over the weekend into next week. Beforehand, a weak front will
wash out over the area with generally scattered windward and
perhaps some leeward showers with windier conditions as high
pressure moves in behind it for the weekend. A model/ensemble
blend should suffice. By midweek next week, ensembles indicate
digging troughing along 140W which may be enough to push a weak
front or at least a brief surge in PW values into the area from
the north and northeast.
