Srong surface high pressure northwest of Hawai'i over the next
couple of days will keep a breezy trade wind pattern in place over
the area with scattered windward and some leeward showers. Waves
of higher precipitable water values will push through the area
ahead of a weakening front that will sink into the region this
weekend. By next week, ensembles indicate troughing digging
southward along 140W which may act to increase trades again later
in the week. Hawai'i should remain in between deeper moisture
along 15N and moisture associated with the upper trough well to
the east.
