Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 812 AM EDT Tue Nov 01 2016 Valid 00Z Wed Nov 02 2016 - 00Z Wed Nov 09 2016 Overall expect a tranquil week coming up for the Hawaiian Islands, as the eastern periphery of an upper ridge and generally light to moderate easterly trades impact the state. Initially an upper weakness across the state will shift eastward and allow potentially three different frontal zones over the pacific to approach the northwestern islands throughout the course of the week. However, each front will stop short of the state and for the most part moisture content in general will be minimal. Toward the very end of the forecast period, a slight influx of tropical moisture attempts to lift north and west toward the Big Island but the heaviest shower activity will remain well south and east. For the most part, the operational model guidance shows very little spread in the pattern and details in the forecast. Musher
