...Wet unsettled pattern will linger for next week...

Despite a lull in enhanced rainfall across the state... a distinct
weakness west of the islands will advance downstream and allow
return flow from the tropics to impact the eastern third of the
chain. This appears to begin on Wednesday and could hang around
for the next week... as the amplified upper trough generally west
of the islands locks in broad southwesterly upper-level flow and
anomalous moisture content... at or about 1.5 to 2 inch
precipitable water values. By next Tuesday... the upper trough
axis should be located over the state and the main moisture plume
over the eastern islands/Big Island and/or east of the state.
