Surface high pressure north/northeast of the Islands should
support moderate trades through the middle of the week, but then a
cold front will approach from the northwest as shortwave energy
lifts northeastward (northwest of the Islands) on Friday.  Model
spread then begins to increase with a weak upper trough possibly
aligning over the Islands this weekend.  The GFS/GEFS mean are
currently more amplified with this feature and hold onto troughing
longer than the ECMWF/ECMWF ensemble mean.
