Ensembles remain in good agreement that subtropical ridging will
drift over Hawai'i during the next day or so with a surface high
axis stretched east-west along 32-36N. This will maintain locally
breezy trades that may increase more broadly Thu-Fri as the
surface high moves past 155W. With a relatively stable air mass
and precipitable water values near average (recent GFS runs have
remained on the high side over the Big Island compared to the
ensembles), generally light windward showers are expected through
the rest of the week into early next week.
