A very broad mid/upper-level weakness is forecast by all guidance
to traverse Hawaii from east to west Sat through Tue. Surface high
pressure will remain anchored across the north central Pacific,
well north of the state, keeping 15-20 kt trades in place across
Hawaii through the next week. The aforementioned weakness should
result in a slight enhancement to typical windward shower
activity, especially over the eastern islands. By the middle of
next week, a slightly drier air mass should overspread the state
as upper-level ridging builds overhead, reducing shower activity a
bit.
