Satellite loops and guidance shows a cirulation aloft that will
settle northwest of the islands this week. Surface high pressure
centered northeast and far northwest of the islands should
meanwhile favor moderate mean trades underneath into the state. A
favored model and ensemble composite indicates that increased
ridging aloft and decreasing moisture will afford drier and stable
conditions over the next couple of days. However, a disturbance in
the deep tropics then passing to the south of the Big Island could
fuel some enhanced showers Wednesday and Thursday, with additional
tropical moisture potentially approaching next weekend.
