Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 841 AM EDT Tue Jul 24 2018 Valid 00Z Wed Jul 25 2018 - 00Z Wed Aug 01 2018 Moderate trade winds can be expected through the duration of the week with high pressure remaining north and northeast of the state. Multiple disturbances will move westward south of islands- the first will focus rain over but not fully limited to windward terrain through Wednesday. Drier air will advect into the region briefly before another area of shower enhancement, especially over the Big Island, through the end of the work week. Models are converging on a more organized system approaching however there are notable spread on timing and placement. The axis of highest precipitable water values will continue progressing to the west with time but model/ensemble guidance agrees that PWATs should remain over 1.50 inches at most locations through next Monday.
