Moderate trade winds can be expected through the next week with
surface high pressure remaining north and northeast of the state.
Multiple easterly waves will move westward south of islands, with
each wave bringing a modest enhancement to low-level easterly
flow. The first of these will focus showers across, but not fully
limited to windward terrain through into Thu. A second wave is
expected to pass well south of Hawaii Fri-Sat, with drier air
advecting across the state in its wake. Another period of enhanced
shower activity is possible with yet another wave by the middle of
next week, especially over the Big Island.
