A subtropical high pressure system sliding eastward across the
higher latitudes should ensure typical trade wind conditions
through early next week.  During this weekend, models and
ensembles are bringing the remnants of Tropical Storm Kristy from
east to west across the islands with PWs reaching 2+ inches, which
will likely increase shower coverage across the state,
particularly for the Big Island.  Thereafter, models are
indicating Tropical Depression Fourteen currently in the tropical
eastern Pacific will likely intensify possibly passing to the
southeast or south of the Big Island by next Wednesday.
