Breezy northeast winds (about 20-25 kts with higher gusts) behind
a weakening cold front will slowly subside and veer back to
east-northeasterly then easterly over the next couple of days as
upper heights build over the area. A typical trade pattern is
expected for much of the week with generally light windward/mauka
showers. By late this week the ensembles show troughing developing
just to the southwest of the area at the tail end of a front to
the north. Surface trough may move over the state Saturday into
Sunday increasing the chance for widespread but light to locally
modest rain over the region.
