Breezy northeast to northerly winds will continue for a few days
as an upper low wobbles just east of the state around 145-150W.
This will bring in light to perhaps locally modest windward
showers modulated by the proximity of the low. The
models/ensembles still differ on how close to bring the low to the
islands and wrap-around precipitation on its northwest side -- the
ECMWF and UKMET continued to be farther west than the GFS and most
other guidance and a middle ground solution was near the ECMWF
ensemble mean. By the weekend ensembles indicate another trough
approaching from the northwest but may slip past to the
northeast/east. This may bring in another cold front toward or
into the islands that could tap leftover moisture to the east to
bring more widespread showers to the area, but the
models/ensembles differ on the details.
