Troughing will remain to the northeast of Hawai'i next week with
upper ridging near the Dateline, which favors a drier than average
pattern with a fairly weak frontal passage this weekend. Trades
will increase behind this front late Sunday into Monday and remain
elevated for most of next week amid a stronger than average
pressure gradient with a 1028mb high reinforced from the northwest
midweek. Showers will favor windward/mauka areas with some
spillover to leeward areas with stronger trades. Models and
ensembles were in good agreement.
