Upper ridge to the northeast of the area will slowly weaken and
move east this weekend into the middle of next week. Weak
troughing will persist over Hawai'i though next week. Moderate
trades will continue to bring generally light windward/mauka
showers to the state in a quiet regime. Trades may decrease later
next week as the pressure gradient relaxes a bit ahead of a robust
central Pacific storm. Models/ensembles were in good agreement
overall, especially the 06Z GEFS mean and 00Z ECMWF ensemble mean
with only some expected differences.
