Models and ensembles agree that lingering tropical moisture will
continue to stream across the island chain and slowly shift the
axis northwestward over the next couple of days before
diminishing. Trades will then back more easterly as high pressure
builds to the northeast of the region and gradually strengthen
later this week into early next week. Falling precipitable water
values will support only scattered windward showers for most of
the period. Models/ensembles also show good clustering with a
somewhat stable pattern through the weekend with an upper low
north of the region that should lift northeastward next week.
