Models and ensembles reasonably agree that an amplified upper
trough/closed low will be reinforced to the northwest of the state
over the next few days. The slow moving system will linger into
the weekend. A lead/deep tropical moisture plume will meanwhile
settle near the western islands to fuel some locally enhanced
showers/downpours. In the wake of this system, high pressure is
expected to build to the northeast of the state to support a
pattern with more typical trade flow and mainly windward terrain
showers into next week.
