Models and ensembles reasonably agree that an amplified upper
trough/closed low to the northwest of the state will linger into
the weekend. A preferred guidance composite suggests that a
lead/deep tropical moisture plume into the western islands will
fuel some daily and locally enhanced downpours during this period.
In the wake of this system, high pressure is expected to settle to
the northeast of the state to support a pattern with building
trade flow into the islands with windward terrain focusing
showers/rainfall next week.
