Models and ensembles remain in good agreement on the longwave
evolution into next weekend. The upper ridge axis to the northeast
of the region will shift to the northwest of the area by tomorrow.
From next Tue-Fri the upper high will meander to the north and
north-northwest of the area which will bring in lower heights to
its south. Trades will increase next week as the pressure gradient
tightens (1033-1035mb sfc high near 44N/154W by 12Z Wed) with
typical windward/mauka showers through the period amid near
average precipitable water values. Some locally-enhanced higher
rainfall totals are possible per some model forecasts.
