An upper low to the north/northwest of the area will continue to
draw in higher precipitable water values over the near term to
especially the Big Island. A chance for heavier/enhanced shower
and rain activity will generally diminish through Thursday. That
upper low will drift northeastward on Friday ahead of upstream
troughing east of 170W after 00Z/Sat, allowing for a bit drier
period. The next upper low will dip south of 40N but then lift
back to the northeast, which will drive a front near the
northwestern islands next week. Ensembles forecast this to stall
near Kauai next Mon-Wed, which stands the best chance for at least
modest rainfall.
