Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 309 AM EST Tue Nov 26 2019 Valid 00Z Wed Nov 27 2019 - 00Z Wed Dec 04 2019 Models and ensembles show good agreement on an upper level low lifting north of Hawaii while an associated frontal boundary stalls over Kauai into Friday. This will bring increased rain changes a possibly locally heavy rainfall to the westernmost islands, though both the latest runs of the GFS and ECMWF agree that the heaviest precipitation may remain just to the west. After this, models agree that high pressure should build north of the state, bringing a return to a more normal and breezy trade wind pattern through the weekend and into early next week. Showers across the remainder of the island chain should favor mainly windward and mountain locations. Santorelli
