A frontal boundary stalled near Kauai the next couple of days will
result in increased rain changes and locally heavy rainfall for
mainly the westernmost islands, though both the latest runs of the
GFS and ECMWF show that the heaviest precipitation should remain
just to the west. By the weekend there is good agreement amongst
the models and ensembles that high pressure will build north of
the state through the weekend and into next week. This should
bring a return to a more normal and breezy trade wind pattern with
conditions drying out statewide.
