Weakness aloft will linger over the state as sfc high pressure
stays near 40N/145W though much of the upcoming week. By later in
the week, the ensembles forecast ridging to build to the NW of the
50th state near 30N/170W, which would still keep troughing over
Hawai'i. PW values should slowly rise from below climo to near or
above climo by midweek. The 00Z ECMWF/GFS are a bit more
aggressive with higher PW values Wed-Sat than the ensembles over
the Big Island but otherwise fall within the ensemble spread.
Generally light precip is expected with locally heavier on the SW
side of the Big Island.
