Upper ridging should build to the N/NW of Hawaii for the end of
the week, which will maintain trades that may back slightly from E
to ENE. Light trade showers are expected amid below climo PW
values. By midweek next week, the ensembles diverge as to where
and how strong upper ridging should develop either to the north of
Hawaii (per the GEFS/Canadian ensembles) or to the WNW (per the EC
ensembles). The GEFS have departed from a better consensus in the
West Pacific while the EC ensembles have remained rather steady.
Would lean more on the EC ensembles at this point, which is a
less-defined version of the 00Z ECMWF.
