Vigorous cold front will push through the region today with
scattered showers, locally heavy rain, and gusty winds. Winds will
veer from SW to NW to NE through Sunday as weak high pressure
passes by to the north in the wake of the cold front. For next
week, ensemble guidance show that upper ridging should control the
pattern over Hawai'i with dry and tranquil conditions through
Thursday. Another cold front is forecast to approach from the NW
by Friday and may linger near Kauai or maybe Oahu into Saturday
though the GFS and ECMWF differ on its strength.
