Slowly rising heights in the next couple of days will mean a more
typical trade pattern with only isolated showers. By late Thursday
into Friday, a cold front will approach the NW islands and push
through the state Saturday. GFS lies on the more aggressive side
of the model/ensemble spread with the front/QPF but the 00Z ECMWF
may have backed off too much. A compromise solution should suffice
until the upstream pattern becomes more clear. Both solutions
indicate lingering showers into next Monday.
