Deep closed low will continue to move slowly but steadily
northeastward this weekend... dragging its surface front through
the island chain. Front is forecast to get hung up over the Big
Island Monday and then dissipate as strong surface high pressure
slides eastward along 35N the rest of the week. This will promote
rather strong trades owing to the gradient, with scattered
windward showers. Ensembles forecast PW values to hover near to
below climo values so precipitation amounts are not forecast to be
heavy.
