The global numerical guidance indicates that the mid-level flow
will gradually veer with time across Hawai'i during the next week,
with straight easterly trades by the end of the weekend. Patchy
mid-level moisture will allow isolated showers even in the leeward
areas from time to time while there is still a northeast component
to the upper flow. The deep-layer moisture associated with the
ITCZ is progged to stay to the south. Five-day QPF through 00Z/18
Monday for the windward exposures is generally in excess of 0.50",
with locally higher amounts--particularly on the Big Island.
