Hawai'i continues to be progged on the southern edge of the
westerlies for the foreseeable future, the tail ends of shortwave
troughs and their associated moisture trains floating across the
island chain. Neither the 00Z/14 ECMWF nor the 06Z/14 GFS depicted
any prolonged stretch of deep-layer moisture during the next week,
so rainfall totals should be modest. Five-day QPF through 00Z/20
Saturday is generally a tenth- to a quarter-inch, with an inch or
so in the favored terrain.
