Hawai'i appears stuck in an unsettled regime for the remainder of
the month. The islands are progged to remain near the interface of
the polar westerlies and the tropical easterlies, with the
combination of deep-layer moisture and dynamics wringing out a
steady supply of showers. The westerlies seems to dominate until
mid-period, with the trades gaining ground by early next week.
More tropical disturbances loom on the horizon, but predicting
their behavior this year seems to be more dicey than usual.
Five-day QPF through 00Z/30 Sunday is a half- to one-inch
statewide, with the usual focus over the terrain.
