Their remains reasonably good guidance agreement in showing that
high pressure bridging from the north to northeast of the state
over the next week will be slow to weaken along with moderate to
locally brisk trades. This should prolong a general windward
terrain based rainfall pattern for the state into next week.
Meanwhile...water vapor loops now depict a closed low northeast of
the state near 23N 147W at 12 UTC. A favored composite of models
and ensembles suggests this feature may slowly meander closer to
the islands by next week. This would act to gradually destabilize
a moistening/higher precipitable water airmass and enhance nearby
shower potential...especially still for the Big Island.
