A still preferred composite of latest models and ensembles
reasonably agree that high pressure settled to the northeast of
the state over the next couple of days will strongly reform to the
north of the islands later week into next weekend in the wake of
ample eastern Pacific trough/low amplification. Moderate to
locally brisk island trades may relax during the transition and
then rejuvinate along with some potential for some added moisture
availability. Water vapor loops agree that the closed low spinning
aloft to the northeast of the state will eject and quickly lose
island weather influence during this transition.
