Once again, Hawai'i appears on the border between the polar
westerlies and tropical easterlies. The 00Z/13 ECMWF curves Nora
westward well south of the state, while the 06Z/13 GFS grazes the
Big Island Saturday. Following the ECMWF idea, which is closest to
the CPHC Forecast Advisory 16, it will be mostly minor wiggles
that affect Hawai'i during the next week, both from the north and
the south. Five-day QPF through 00Z/19 Monday is generally a
tenth- to quarter-inch statewide, with several inches indicated in
the terrain on the southern tip of the Big Island.
