The global numerical models continue to indicate that the vortex
currently northwest of the main Hawai'ian islands will shear away
over the next two days, with a resumption of the trades by
Wednesday. Patchy, deep-layer moisture in the easterlies will fuel
more widespread showers from time to time; otherwise, expect
mostly mauka showers. Five-day QPF ending 00Z/08 Sunday is
generally a tenth- to a quarter-inch, with slightly higher amounts
on Kaua'i and the usual greater totals in the terrain.
