The 14/00Z EC/GFS based guidance looks remarkably similar and
continues to shed light on the evolving deep-layered ridge pattern
emerging across the central and northeast Pacific. In that, a
retrograding mid-level trough progression from the Mainland west
coast will gradually spread back towards Hawai'i. This will anchor
surface ridge --- and now at 500mb --- a 588mb anticyclone center
--- along 30N 150W.

This synoptic-scale pattern across the subtropics---at least
through day 6 (Sunday)---is equally mirrored by the 14/00z
deterministic ECMWF/GFS solutions. And their solutions over the
mid-latitude Pacific maintain very good continuity heading into
day 7.
