An upper trough axis is expected to linger over the state through
the holiday weekend and early next week. A favored guidance
composite supports increased island trades and some pooling
moisture/showers for this period as high pressure bridges to the
north of the state. Expect weakening trades and more limited
moisture through mid-later next week. Deeper mid-upper level
trough passage to the north of the state may then force a surface
front with enhanced showers toward the northern islands to ring in
the New Year.
