Guidance reasonably agrees in the overall weather pattern
evolution for Hawaii for the upcoming week. A prefered model and
ensemble composite is showing amplified mid-upper level trough
passage northeast of the state that will force a trailing surface
front gradually across the state over the next few days. Expect
enhanced shower potential with blended precipitable water loops
showing pooled moisture to fuel activity with values upwards of
1.25". Lingering moisture, deepest near the southern islands,
should fuel mainly windward favored terrain rains through later
next week as returning moderate to brisk trades are periodically
enhanced as post-frontal high pressure cells bridge to the north
then northeast of the state.
