Trades will remain moderate to strong at times through the next
week as strong high pressure and its surrounding tight pressure
gradient are continually reinforced by regenerated upper level
confluent flow northeast of the islands...with next Tuesday and
Wednesday possibly associated with the strongest winds. Model
agreement is quite good overall...with a mean longwave trough
extended across the eastern Pacific and a mean longwave ridge
north of the islands. Rain chances will remain about normal until
early next week when guidance allows higher moisture values to
reach the area.
