Models show excellent agreement that a well-defined cold front
will move across the Hawaiian Islands Friday night into the
weekend.  The associated shortwave energy emphasizes the best
potential for heavy showers to move through the western part of
the island chain on Saturday before the main energy lifts out to
the northeast on Sunday.  Behind the front, slight ridging is
indicated before a broad and less-defined front approaches on
Tuesday. This front is forecast to slow down and become nearly
stationary across the southern part of the island chain by the
middle of next week.
