The models are in good agreement and show a weak trough near
Hawai'i which lifts out to the northeast today.  A parade of
shortwaves in the Westerlies just north of the archipelago bring
frontal zones close to the state through, with the first intrusion
outside of the Papahanaumokuakea National Marine Monument late
Thursday into next Friday into the main islands Friday.  Until
then, east to southeast Trade Winds are expected with the usual
windward showers   In the wake of the frontal passage, northeast
to east-northeast Trade Winds freshen which should somewhat
amplify the development of windward showers.  Precipitable water
values remain near 1.25", which should be close to average for
March, so no significant heavy rain events are on the horizon at
this time.
