Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 800 AM EDT Wed Mar 22 2017 Valid 00Z Thu Mar 23 2017 - 00Z Thu Mar 30 2017 The mid-latitude upper-level pattern over the Pacific is amplified, but mostly zonal, with mean ridging extending across the entire Central Tropical Pacific. At the surface over Hawaii, a series of anticyclones passing to the north will ensure a general trade wind regime through the rest of this week and the weekend. By the end of the period, Tuesday and Wednesday, a couple of frontal systems passing to the north may bring in a few clouds and maybe a few rain showers across the island chain, but any meaningful or organized precipitation looks, at this time, to stay well to the north of Hawaii.
