The strong 588dm ridge will then attempt to hold on much of next week, as upper dynamics digging upstream from the mid-latitudes close-off aloft between 20-30N and near 170W. This closed 500mb center appears far enough west, that the main deep tropical moisture plume will also remain west and light easterly to southeasterly flow will occur across the islands. For the most part, the latest runs of the gfs and ecmwf capture this upcoming scenario with trades and mainly windward showers and by next Thursday/Friday, this mid to upper low filling and shearing off to the north and east or just northwest of the state.
