Upper ridging initially encompassing the entire state on Saturday
will gradually shift eastward this weekend and into early next
week while energy within the base of an approaching upstream
trough closes off northwest of the islands (between 20-30N and
near 170W).  The bulk of recent guidance is in agreement with
keeping the energy and the highest axis of precipitable water just
northwest of Kauai through Wednesday...but there is some spread in
ensemble guidance and even a few ensemble members that bring the
feature farther southeast than the current model consensus. 
Regardless...the mid to upper level low is expected to fill in and
weaken during the later half of next week as another upper ridge
and strong surface high pressure build in north of the islands.
